A new law that went into effect Wednesday says that aggressive breeds such as pit bulls, Rottweilers, Dobermans and Brazilian Filas will only be allowed on the streets of Rio de Janeiro state only between 10.00 pm and 5.00 am.

Violators can be fined up to 8,024 reals (3,356.48 USD) and the dog will be placed in an animal shelter indefinitely.

"Pit Bull Condemned to Death"

From today's "Times" newspaper. Proof that the DDA still exists and still kills dogs in the UK. And the dog's only crime was to have his muzzle removed in public - just like Dempsey in 1993. Apparently his owner was warned by police 3 times about this, but thanks to that and an an intractable couple of High Court judges, a harmless dog must die.

Expect to see plenty of stories like this in Ontario... and thank Bryant for them.

Also the idiot journalist has called Princess Anne's Bull terriers "pitbulls". Not that it offends me, but it's this deliberate blurring of the breeds that leads to BSL!

Please pass this on to everybody!
